SCORE Baja 1000 is an off-road race that takes place on Mexico's Baja California Peninsula. The Baja 1000 is part of the SCORE Championship Desert Racing Series. The Baja 1000 allows various types of vehicle classes to compete on the same course - from such small and large bore motorcycles, stock VW, production vehicles, buggies, Trucks, and custom fabricated race vehicles. The course has remained relatively the same over the years with the majority of events being either a point-to-point race from Ensenada to La Paz, or a loop race starting and finishing in Ensenada. The BlueWater Desert Challenge is the fourth event in the five-race 2011 Best In The Desert “American Off-Road Racing Series”. Unlike all of the other Best In The Desert long distance races, that are either a long loop race, or a point to point course, as is the Parker “425” or the recent TSCO Vegas to Reno” courses, the Blue Water Desert Challenge is a 2-day multi-race format that features Best In The Desert’s Car, Truck and UTV classes running both days for combined results to determine the winners. In the Limited Buggy class, Quentin Tucker of Imperial, California took home the first place CANIDAE contingency prize of $100 for taking the checkered flag in the Saturday races. On Sunday, two Canidae contingency racers, John Fitzgerald of La Vista, Nebraska and Curt Geer of San Dimas, California took home the first place and third place prizes, respectively.
In the SR1 UTV class, two Canidae contingency racers, Doug Mittag of Temecula, California and John Demsey of Encinitas, California both did quite well in Sunday's heat races. Perfect weather greeted the racers for this year's Bilek Silver State 300, which had a record turnout of 225 racers for this year's Vegas to Reno race. This year's race featured two Navy Seals (ironically on the same day their fellow comrades were engaged in their raid on Osama Bin Laden) as participants in the Ironman Expert class, who rode side by side for the entire length of the race.

In Saturday's heat races in the Jr. 2 Karts, Chad Graham of Canyon Lake, California won the first place contingency prize of $100, Riley Herbst of Hesperia, California took home the second place prize and Maxwell Ries of Pomona, California received the third place contingency prize. In Sunday's heat races, Paige Porter of Yorba Linda, California took home the third place prize of a 35lb. bag of Canidae Natural Dog Food.
In the Jr. 1 Karts class, Elliot Watson of El Centro, California won the first place contingency prize of $100, while Preston Roben of Imperial, California took home the second place prize and Wolfgang Ries received the third place contingency prize for their showings in Saturday's heat races. In the Sunday event, Travis Pecoy of Yorba Linda won the first place contingency prize for his win and Preston Roben followed up his second place showing on Saturday with a third place contingency prize of Canidae Dog Food for his showing.
In the 8000 class, Dan Werle of Gilbert, Arizona received the third place prize a 35lb. bag of Canidae Dog Food, while Pat Moore of Parker, Arizona took home the second place prize of $50.00.
Held on the banks of the beautiful Colorado River in Parker, Arizona, this race is always extremely popular with competitors and spectators alike. This year produced record entries of more than 30 teams in the elite Trick Truck (aka Trophy Truck) class and almost 300 other cars and trucks in 20 different classes.

The Lucas Oil Off-Road Racing Series, presented by Geico Motorsports, moved into Las Vegas, Nevada for Round 14 of the racing season. The race weekend, sponsored by E3 Spark Plugs, brought some drivers closer to securing their championship position, while others saw their championship hopes disappear.
In the Super Lite class on Saturday, Kyle Leduc of San Bernadino, California received the second place prize of $50.00. In the Pro Buggy Unlimited class, Bobby Pecoy of Yorba Linda, California was awarded a 35 lb. bag of CANIDAE All Life Stages Formula.
In the Limited Buggy class, Curt Geer of San Dimas, California had a late race charge that led to a 3rd place finish on Sunday, earning him a 35lb. bag of Canidae Dog Food. In the Unlimited UTV class,
Robert Vanbeekum of Mesa, Arizona swept the weekend in the Unlimited UTV class, receiving the first place $100 prize for his wins on Saturday and Sunday. In the UTV SR1 class, Doug Mittag from Temecula, California received the third place prize of CANIDAE dog food. Tyler Herzog of Mesa, Arizona took home a second and third place prize for his showings over the weekend, $50.00 and a 35lb. bag of Canidae All Life Stages Pet Food.
In the Modified Kart class, Mitchell DeJong of Temecula, the points leader going into Saturday, was awarded a 3rd place prize of Canidae Dog Food for his weekend performance, and received enough points on Sunday to clinch the Modified Kart title.
In the JR2 Kart class, Chad Graham of Canyon Lake, California received two prizes for the weekend, a second place prize of $50 for his Saturday finish, followed by a 1st place prize of $100 for his win on Sunday. Paige Porter received the first place prize of $100 for his Saturday win. Max Ries of Pomona, California received the third place prize of a 35 lb. bag of CANIDAE All Life Stages Formula for his Sunday showing.
Finally, in the JR1 Kart class, Brock Heger of El Centro, California swept the weekend for 1st place, with first place prize wins on Saturday and Sunday. Cole Mamer of Holtville, California was a double winner as well, receiving a second and third place prize.
The Blue Water Desert Challenge, hosted by the Blue Water Resort and Casino, was held October 15-17th in Parker Arizona. This multi-day event at the 27 mile long course has been described as "an off-road racer's Disneyland" as different segments are given colorful names like John Wayne's Gorge, The Matterhorn, The New Thunder Alley and The Snake Pit, including a wide variety of tough terrain.
In the Trophy lite class, Troy Messer of Kingman, Arizona took home the 2nd place $50 prize with Gary Messer taking the 3rd place prize of a 35 lb. bag of CANIDAE All Natural Life Stages Formula. Rich Severson of Tucson, Arizona, was awarded a 3rd place prize of Canidae Dog Food in the 7100 class. In the 1000 class, Kevin Ellis of Menifee, California took home the first place prize of $100. Finally, BJ Baldwin of Las Vegas, Nevada was awarded the 2rd place prize of $50.00 for his second place win.

The Southern Nevada Off-Road Enthusiasts (SNORE) held the 250 mile SNORE 250 on Saturday, October 2, 2010. The race began in Johnnie and finished in Pahrump, Nevada, at the Nugget Hotel and Casino. CANIDAE Pet Food awarded their first, second and third prizes to a variety of racing classes, consisting of $100, $50 and a 35 lb. bag of CANIDAE All Life Stages Formula.
Rodney Colbert of Las Vegas, Nevada took home the first prize in Class 10, while Darin Anderson, also from Las Vegas, Nevada, took home the second place prize in the 1600 class.
In the 18 Class, Chuck Harvey of Boulder City, Nevada received the first place prize, with Kirk Hadley of Las Vegas, Nevada receiving the third place prize of a 35 lb. bag of CANIDAE All Life Stages Formula.
Justin Davis of Chino Hills, California was the second place winner in the 3000 class, followed by Barry Clint of Lake Elsinore, California taking home the third place prize.
In the Limited Sportsman class, John Reber of Las Vegas, Nevada received the $100 First Place Prize.
In Class 8 competition, Mike Szlauko of Tucson, Arizona was awarded the first place prize of $100, followed by Rick Harrah of Las Vegas, Nevada, who received the second place prize of $50.00. Cody Rash of Chino Hills, California received the second place prize in Class 9.
Michael Brenner of San Diego, California took home the first place prize of $100 in the Stock Bug class. In the VORE class, Karman Cusack received the $100 first prize, with Jim Johnson of Lafayette, Colorado taking home the second prize of $50.00, followed by Arturo Benevides of Laredo, Texas taking home the third place prize of a 35 lb. bag of CANIDAE All Natural Life Stages Formula.
The final awards of the weekend went to the 1450 Class, with Eric Ludian of Las Vegas, Nevada taking home the first place prize and Mark Slater of Chino Hills, California being awarded the second place prize. In Class 7, Dan Chamblee of Carpenteria, California received the first place prize of $100.
The World Championship Weekend at Crandon International Off road Speedway was held in Crandon, Wisconsin over the Labor Day weekend. The Chicagoland race created a buzz when NASCAR Driver Kyle Bush competed and the excitement of this race weekend is the appearance of multi-series driver Robby Gordon.
In the Super Stock Truck category, Scott Beauchamp received a $100 First Prize and $50 for his second place finish. Mitch Door received a $100 first place and a voucher for a 35lb bag of Canidae Natural Pet Food for his third place finish. Additionally, Eric Ruppel received two contingency prizes for the weekend, $50 for a second place finish and a voucher for a 35lb bag of Canidae Pet Food.
The Super Buggy class had a wide variety of winners of the Canidae Contingency prize. Scott Schwalbe won two 3rd place prizes for his third place wins of vouchers for Canidae Pet Food. Other dual prize winners in the Super Buggy Class were Colton Greaves, with two $100 first place prizes, Mark Steinhardt with a 1st place win and a 2nd place win, and John Fitzgerald, also with a first and second place contingency prize. Other winners were Steven Kreiman with a $50 second place, John Frana with a second place prize, and Jeff Villemure and Brad Erickson with a voucher for a 35lb bag of Canidae Pet Food for their third place showings.
Finally, in the Limited 2 class, Ben Wandahsega took home the $100 first place contingency prize, Mike Vanden Heuvel received a second place prize and Rhonda Konitzer and Don Williams took home third place vouchers for Canidae Pet Food.
The second race of the year at the Bark River International Raceway completes Round 9 & 10 of the Traxxas TORC series, a track known for being hard on equipment and drivers. Recent changes to the 1.5 mile track added more technical challenges, including a "rhythm section", a series of short and choppy jumps that punished teams who had not had their setup's quite right. As in the previous race at Bark River, CANIDAE presented first, second and third place awards to teams in the CANIDAE Off-Road Contingency Awards program.
In the Enduro class, Chris Bowser of Iron River, Montana took the top prize of $100, improving upon his second place showing in the previous Bark River event. Matthew Ives of Stephenson, Michigan took the second place prize of $50.00. Dale Chestnut of Verona, Wisconsin received the $100 first place prize in the Classix class. Jeremy Forbes of Hortonville, Wisconsin received the third place prize of a 35 lb. bag of CANIDAE All Life Stages Formula.
In the Light Buggy class, Matt Gerald of Appleton, Wisconsin took home the first place award, with Chad Dewall of Shiaton, Wisconsin taking home the third place award of 35 lbs. bag of CANIDAE Pet Food. John Fitzgerald of La Vista, Nebraska was awarded the first place prize in the Single Buggy class, with Brad Erickson of Wilson, Michigan receiving the 2nd place prize of $50. Mark Steinhardt of Rhinelander, Wisconsin rounded out the awards with a 3rd place prize of a 35 lb. bag of CANIDAE All Life Stages Formula for his showing.
John Frana of Loves Park, Illinois was awarded the first prize in the Super Buggy class, with Bob Klaus of Freehold, New Jersey taking home the 2nd place prize of $50 and Scott Schwalbe of Rhinelander, Wisconsin receiving the third place prize of CANIDAE All Life Stages Formula Dog Food.
In the Super Stock Truck class, Mitch Dorr of Rockford, Illinois was awarded the 2nd place contingency prize and Don Demeny of Abrams, Wisconsin took home the third place award of CANIDAE Pet Food. Finally, in the Limited 2 class, Mike Vanden Heuvel was awarded the first place prize and Ron Schreiner of Hudson, Wisconsin received the third place prize of a 35 lb. bag of CANIDAE All Life Stages Formula.
In the weekend's final round and the final weekend of the year at Bark River Raceway, Bob Berkholz of Iron Mountain, Michigan took home the first place award in the Enduro class. Round 9 Enduro contingency winner Chris Bowser finished the weekend with a 2nd place contingency award of $50, and Matthew Ives of Stephenson, Michigan rounded out the class with a 3rd place award. In the Classix class, the sole winner of the contingency award was Dale Chestnut, receiving the 2nd place prize.
In the Light Buggy class, Matt Gerald of Appleton, Wisconsin received the 1st place award, while Todd Lemke of Sobieski, Wisconsin came home with the third place award of a 35 lb. bag of CANIDAE All Life Stages Formula. In the Single Buggy class, John Fitzgerald of La Vista, Nebraska was awarded the 1st place contingency award, followed by Mark Stewinhardt of Rhinelander, Wisconsin in second place. The Lucas Off-Road Racing Series returned again to a new track at the Glen Helen Raceway. In front of a sold out crowd, the teams needed to readjust previous race setups to get maximum advantage over their fellow racers.

In the Jr 2 Carts series, Shelton Creed of Alpine, California was awarded the 2nd place prize of $50, while Maxwell Ries of Pomona, California received the 3rd place award of CANIDAE Pet Food for his performance. Finally, in the Jr 1 Karts class, Brock Heger of El Centro, California scored a double win for the weekend, taking home the 2nd place prize of $50 on the first day of competition and scoring the first place prize of $100 on the last day of competition.

The Southern Nevada Off-Road Enthusiasts (SNORE) KC Hi Lites Midnight Special is a 250 mile race in Ridgecrest, California, offering multiple class racing, including Unlimited and Unlimited Trucks, 10, 12, 18, 1450, and 1600 classes. Starting during the day and ending at night, the course offers many types of challenges to cars and drivers, from rough and rocky sections to flat-out, pedal down straights.

In the Unlimited Sportsman class, Trey Piersall of Poway, California took home the second place prize of $50.00.
The MORR Series at the Oshkosh Speed zone brought together the best PRO-2 drivers from the United States and Canada. Despite weather issues, the standing room only crowds were treated to great door to door racing. In the final class of the day, the first place prize in the Formula 4x4 class was awarded to Brad Lamarche of Stanley, Wisconsin. In the Enduro class, the winners were identical to the winners in Round 7 with the 1st place prize was awarded to Brock Smith of Bark River, Michigan. The first race of the Traxxas TORC Series Bark Park brings several different classes to the 1.5 mile off-road dirt course in Bark River, Michigan. As one of the most challenging tracks on the TORC series, the only professional off-road racing event in northern Michigan, drivers often reach 90 mph. The Lucas Oil Off-Road Racing Series (LOORS) came to Miller Motorsports Park for its very first short-course race. This off-road short course, located in the southeast corner of the main road course, features wide sweeping turns and high-speed moguls. The great weekend weather and clear skies attracted a very large crowd for this inaugural event.
In the Pro 2 class, Todd Leduc of Cherry Valley, California took the second place contingency award prize of $50 both days. Chris Brandt of Council Bluffs, Iowa took the first place award in the Pro Lite Unlimited class, with Jacob Person of Peoria, Arizona taking home the third place prize of a 35 lb. bag of CANIDAE All Life Stages Formula.
In the Super Lites class, former motocross champ Ricky James of San Bernadino, California was awarded the 1st place prize on Sunday, with Jacob Person taking the 2nd place award and $50.00.
John Fitzgerald of La Vista, Nebraska had a good weekend, being awarded a second place award on the first day and a 3rd place award on the second day in the Limited Buggy class. Curt Geer of San Dimas was awarded the 3rd place contingency prize on the first day.
In the SR1 UTV class, Greg Frantz of Tempe, Arizona had a great weekend, securing the 1st place award on the first day of the event, and the 2nd place award on the second day of the event. Cody Rahders also had a good weekend, scoring a second place award on the first day of the event, and capturing the the 3rd place award of a 35 lb. bag of CANIDAE All Life Stages Formula on the second day. Doug Mittag of Temecula, California took the 3rd place award of CANIDAE Dog Food on the first day of the event.
In the Mod Karts class, Sheldon Creed of Alpine, California was awarded the first prize award, with Mitchell Dejong from Temecula, California receiving the second prize. For the Jr. 2 Karts, Chad Graham of Canyon Lake, California received the third place prize of a 35 lb. bag of CANIDAE All Life Stages Formula for the first day of competition and first place for the second day of competition. Shelby Anderson of Riverside, California also had a great weekend by winning the 1st place prize of $100 for the first day of competition and the second place prize of $50 for the second day of competition. Sheldon Creed of Alpine, California won the third place prize on the second day of competition.
In the JR 1 Kart class, Brock Heger of El Centro, California took first place for the first day of competition, while Preston Roben of Imperial, California took the third place prize on each day of competition.

Baja bugs have been a staple at the Mint 400 since its inception almost 40 years ago. Hometown racer Brandyn Kaylor almost pulled off the win in the 5-1600 class but settled for 2nd and gets $50.00 for his run.

The Silver State 300, a single loop 300 off-road race on American Soil, traverses the mountains and high desert of Eastern Nevada. The race begins in Alamo, Nevada, reaches a height of 6240 feet at Oak Springs Summit and finishes 20 miles south of Alamo at Turtle Walk.
Preliminary figures were showing 175 entries for this years race, from cars and trucks to quads and motorcycles. As the highway is close to the race course, this event is considered a "chase race", where each team's chase trucks have easier access to all 6 pit stops.

SNORE is a family of off road racers helping to promote desert racing based in the Las Vegas, Nevada area. Formed in 1969 for fun, friends and family, they have grown to be a premier force in the southwest racing arena. They are the oldest sanctioned off road racing organization in the world and held the SNORE Lone Kid Racing Battle at Primm, Nevada this February.
Hailing from Canyon Lake, California, Josh Daniel battled to the top of the podium in the Class 1 division for a first place CANIDAE Contingency award of $100.
In Class 12, Bryan Freeman of Henderson, Nevada also took home a first place cash award of $100.
